Skyrim housing takes on new dimensions with these house mods.
7The Spin-Offs
This entry is reserved for the other Elder Scrolls titles.
At about 16 kilometers in total size, Morrowind is actually the smallest of the main titles by far.
The game takes place on Vvardenfell, an island in the Dark Elves' home of Morrowind.
Morrowind tells a marvelous story, and Vvardenfell is often praised for its distinctly alien art design.
The game takes place in the Skyrim province of Tamriel, home to the Nordic people.
Skyrim’s map is more than double that of Morrowind’s, clocking in at around 37 kilometers.
Dragonborn, the second DLC, adds an island from Morrowind’s own Bloodmoon DLC, Solstheim.
Climbing mountain peaks, descending into dank caves; those 37 kilometers are well-traveled.
The player gets to explore Cyrodiil, the province that serves as the throne of the Empire.
Cyrodiil is roughly 41 kilometers in size.
The Shivering Isles is surely larger than Solstheim as seen in Skyrim’s Dragonborn expansion.
It’s in constant development and expansions are frequently being rolled out for it.
However, it’s also worth mentioning that the game is meticulously designed, unlike Daggerfall.
Elder Scrolls Online doesn’t use procedural generation to build its world.
Everything was designed as it is by the developers.
All the current zones together measure up to about 400 kilometers in size.
2Daggerfall
Officially speaking, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall is the biggest Elder Scrolls game.
This means each player’s experience is unique outside the main story of the game.
The game was initially intended to be an arena fighter, as the name suggests.
However, it turned into an RPG over the course of development.
The player is nominally supposed to be able to explore the entire continent.
Here’s the thing: there are several catches to that size.
However, even that isn’t really true, as the game just starts breaking down after a while.
