Last weekend was my birthday.
It would just be man dead as expected.
And, let me tell you, its stillNintendoat its most pure.
Its everything I hope Nintendo brings to theSwitch 2.
I didnt even mean to play WarioWare: Twisted.
Probably Pinball of the Dead orPokemon Pinballor, lets get wild, Mario Pinball Land.
But then I came across WarioWare: Twisted.
And, you know what?
Fortunately, the game still worked perfectly.
And, baby, it was so worth it.
But playing it again, I was reminded ofwhyits so good.
Every WarioWare game features fun instant games that require you to think fast and react quicker.
Or not at all, because some of the mini games mess with you like that.
It might even be more toy than game once you unlock everything.
Not every mini game uses the motion sensor, but those that do feel so experimental and strange.
Playing a truncated version of the first few levels ofSuper Mario Bros.using a twisting, circular landscape is wild.
They arent just snippets and parodies of games, theyre fresh ways to look at them.
And then there are the souvenirs.
These unlocks go beyond a few minigames.
One, theres actually a lot of unlockable mini-games.
Two, there are also an entire Christmas of toys that define Nintendos pre-gaming history.
Is playing the Love Tester stupid on a Game Boy Advance?
Yes, it is.
Its all so joyful and pure and Nintendo.
The secrets arent there to make you superpowered, theyre there because its fun to have stupid secrets.
The closest I can think of in recent memory are the unlockable dioramas in Astro Bot.
But in that game, you simply get to see rescued robots recreate funny little scenes.
Its not a game you’re free to just throw into a pocket emulator and run.
Hell, if we gotKirbys Tilt n Tumble, we can get this.
This game should be available for the public.
Manually riding the subway in Cyberpunk 2077 instead of fast travel is the best way to get around.
