When you find him, he will be in deep conversation with a man named Hjort.
The Jarl leaves not long after you arrive, so you must direct your questions to Hjort.
During the discussion, you have the choice of asking aboutCerys' location or the Jarl’s well-being.
If you opt for latter, you get an additional objective to ask locals about Cerys.
She points you in the direction of Bergthora and Eiric.
Therefore, head further north tofind Bergthora outside working.
At the location, you willfind Drowners tormenting poor Eiric.
You must kill the beasts to help him.
Once he’s safe, you could talk to him about Cerys.
After some back-and-forth, he will reveal that she’s atUdalryk’s old family home.
The latter tells a story from Udalryk’s past.
It turns out the Jarl’s father gave the clan’s sword to his younger son instead of Udalryk.
As a result, Cerys believes Udalryk is now being haunted by his brother’s ghost.
Geralt isn’t confident the plan will work, but he’s willing to try.
Inside the house, you may notice there aretwo rooms separate from the main area.
Head inside the one closest to the main entrance to find thekey to the cellar.
Therefore, open it up and climb down.
Place Brokvar On Aki’s Remains
Return to Cerysand tell her you found the sword.
Now the two of you cantravel back to see Udalryk.
During the conversation with the Jarl, he will tell you where Aki drowned.
The spot is alittleeastof where the Jarlis currently staying.Travel there and dive under the water.
There are several dangerous creatures in the area, but you could take them out swiftly with a crossbow.
When the coast is clear,use Witcher senses to find Aki’s remainsand place the sword.
Then return to Udalryk.
Upon reconvening with the Jarl, you will find that he’s just poked out his own eye.
It turns out the voices he’s hearing commanded him to do it.
After asking him a few questions, Geralt talks to Cerys in private.
The scary creature attaches itself to people who commit vile deeds and feeds on their guilty conscience.
Walk around the buildingusing your Witcher senses and examine anything with a red glow.
After a while, Cerys wants you to meet her outside as she’s got a plan.
Sheasks you to trust her, and your response dictates how the rest of the quest plays out.
Then after a time skip, she returns with a baby in her arms and people chasing her.
She hands you the child andtells you to put it in the oven.
You havethe option to follow her order or give the baby back.
Realizing it has been tricked,the Hym is forced to leave.
And it plays out much the same way as it would if you didn’t trust Cerys earlier.
The first step is togo to Udalrykand tell him about the Hym.
Next, return to the house andplace torchesin the area you enter.The game marks all of their locations.
Now is a good time to prepare for battle.
If possible, equippingSpecter OilandMoon Dust bombsis a good idea as they are the Hym’s weaknesses.
Once you’re ready,talk to the Jarloutside the house.
