Finding the former is the main objective of the game.
However, before that hunt even begins, Geralt must locate Yennefer.
Something the mission really establishes is the idea of player choice.
After all, during your search for Yennefer, you’re forced to make plenty of decisions.
This guide includes the consequences of those choices and instructions on how to complete the rest of the quest.
Speaking With Vesemir
The quest begins with Geralt talking to Vesemir about his dream.
You get some dialog options, but they don’t significantly impact anything.
At the end of the conversation, you are attacked by apack of ghouls.
It’s not required, but doing so grants you some extra experience points.
Once you’re ready to go, mount your horse and simplyfollow Vesemir.
The two of you ride and talk for a while.
Eventually, though, you find a merchant who’s getting attacked by a Griffin.
You don’t fight the large beast yet, as the short battle takes place in the cutscene.
In the fight, Vesemir gets wounded, but the Witchers still manage to drive the creature away.
As a result, the merchant assumes thatyou want to be paid for saving him.
More preciously, the Sorceress' current location.
Vesemir then sits down to tend his wound, andyou’re left to your own devices.
The game marksthree tables in the tavernfor you to visit.
Surviving The Ambush
When youleave the White Orchard Inn, you are confronted by three adversaries.
Thankfully, though, your opponents aren’t exactly heavyweight boxers.
Therefore, you should be able to knock them outrelatively easily.
Once you get there, the two guards on the door will allow you inside.
Headto the west side of the place to find the captain.
Be warned thatyou will automatically fail some secondary quests if you haven’t completed them before talking to him.
The two Witchers don’t get too much time to converse asthey get ambushed.
And you’re forced tokill the attackersin self-defense.
And so, Geralt rides off to Vizima, the capital city of Temeria, to meet the ruler.
This moment serves asthe end to the quest.
