Part of your adventures in Velen involves a strange man known only as the Pellar.
You will be fightingseveral waves of enemies,with each one comprised of a different kind of enemy.
It is best toreplenish your alchemicalsuppliesbefore starting the quest.
This set of enemies are necrophages and are vulnerable toNecrophage OilandIgni.
The drowners will use their numbers tooverwhelm Geraltwhile the water hag caninterfere from a distanceby slinging filth.
As the hired muscle, you will have todefeat the attackers.Geralt’s health will befully restoredonce they are slain.
A cutscene will play on your victory, with a ghostaccusing the Pellar of murdering his own father.
You will have two choices.
“Leave them alone.”
Geralt willdefend the Pellarandfight the Witch Hunters,ensuring that the ritual continues.
“Not my fight.”
Geralt willallow the Witch Hunters to stop Forefather’s Eve.The Pellar will be upset and refuse to reward Geralt.
The quest willend immediately after.
If youchoose to fight, the Witch Hunterswill turn hostile and must be killed.
They arenormal human enemiesand can be defeated with conventional tactics.
The Pellar will alsoenter the fray,helping you fight.
Their blood willtaint the ritual,attractingwraithsto the area.
The Pellar will call for the participants to flee and asks Geralt todefeat the wraiths.
Like all wraiths, they should be fought withSpecter Oiland Yrden.
Dodge around the group, luring them into the sign to turn them tangible.Moon Dustwill have a similar effect.
The Pellar is understandably upset by the outcome, but appreciates Geralt’s assistance.
The witcher offers to help the wise man bylifting the curseon the Pellar’s slain father.
Angry specters tend to become safety hazards, after all.
Once there, Geralt will need to find abody buried near the centerof the swamp andcast Ignion the body.
