Some of them will be classified as werewolves others as vampires or ghouls.
There is no shortage of ferocious beings tucked away inside of Geralt’s Beastiary.
They include animals like bears, wolves, wild dogs, and more.
Wild dogs often travel in packs, and they won’t hesitate to attack you or Roach.
Luckily, they’re easily defeated and the weakest beasts in the game.
After killing a dog, be sure to loot their corpses for raw meat and dog tallow.
Dog tallow is used in a lot of potions and can certainly come in handy.
There are regular wolves and white wolves.
You’ll find them both on the mainland and the isles of Skellige.
It’s not uncommon for wolves to work with bigger monsters, like werewolves, as an additional obstacle.
Sometimes you’ll notice several wolves join in a fight to make it more difficult.
Igni can be very helpful when fighting with them if you want to defeat multiple simultaneously.
5Wild Boars
You won’t encounter wild boars until you start playing theHearts of Stoneexpansion.
You’ll meet them hidden deep in Redania areas north of Velen and Novigrad.
Then they’ll show up in places like Toussaint and the Gustfields.
After you kill a wild boar, loot them for their tusks, pelt, and raw meat.
It’s helpful to use signs on them if you might, Yrden and Igni are particularly effective.
4Bears
Bears are a major nuisance inThe Witcher 3.
They’re much harder to defeat than the average wolf or wild dog.
Like all beasts, they’re weak to Beat Oil and the Quen and Igni signs.
It’s very hard to deflect a bear attack, so don’t count on parrying techniques.
The good news is, bears are solitary creatures and don’t travel in packs.
3Panthers
While pretty to like at, panthers can also be quite deadly.
Luckily for players, panthers don’t enter the game until you reach Toussaint and theBlood and WineDLC.
They are associated with several different quests in the region.
Beast oil is their only weakness.
Except they don’t really.
Instead, the pigs have transformed into monstrous beings over the years.
However, fighting them is not dissimilar to how you would approach combat with wild boars.
Still, they are more challenging and can be difficult foes if you’re not prepared.
They are weak to beast oil.
It’s a very tough boss battle and easily the strongest “beast” in the game.
Instead, it is only weak against black blood and vampire oil.
However, despite being a vampire, it is classified under “beast” in the Beastiary tab.
It may have been a glitch, or the ferocity of the creature overruled the vampire ranking.
