However, this hatred is also directed towards witchers, who are dubbed mutants and freaks.
Besides the fact that all witchers are fundamentally human, ostracizing them seems like a strange choice.
This makes the continued disgust witchers receive all the more confusing.

Cities should keep a professional monster slayer or two on demand.

As mentioned above, witchers are in decline, despite the fact that monsters are not.
It makes no sense that more people aren’t driven to pick up arms against monsters.
