Regardless, poor Geraltjust had to go through it all, cursed brand and all from Gaunter O’Dimm.
Here are 10 things that make no sense forthe seasoned witcher.
10WHY DIDN’T OLGIERD JUST KILL THE OFIERI PRINCE?
That very well means the only thing that’s off-limits to him is his dear wife, Iris.
Had he done so, Gaunter never would have found out a way to outsmart him.
9WHY DID GAUNTER O’DIMM NEED GERALT?
Speaking of Gaunter O’Dimm, his exact being and powers are still questionable.
It is clear that he can control time and even bend things to his will ortransport other beings somewhere.
That’s why his being bound by a measly contract lacks logical weight.
She even finds time to have a little “R&R” with him.
This is a huge deal if ghosts worked that way inThe Witcher 3.
The Von Everecs certainly did.
What of ghosts of kings and queens too?
6WHY DID OLGIERD NEED GERALT AGAINST THE BORSODIS?
Olgierd then hoped that Geralt would deal with the Borsodis for him.
However, given Olgierd’s hatred for the Borsodis, why didn’t he just go after them?
He’s immortal, powerful, and resourceful.
He could have taken them down without any repercussions from society and wouldn’t need Geralt.
It could also eliminate the possibility of someone fulfilling one of his wishes.
So why not just help each other out?
That eventually would have been one of the choices by the end ofHearts of Stoneanyway.
Gaunter does seem to have respect for his “contracts” as these appear more powerful than him.
Gaunter is adamant that he wouldn’t cheat but he technically did.
That would have worked the same.
Hell, even Dandelion could have been there to record the tale.
That would be Gaunter O’Dimm.
Gaunter definitely knows ofCiri’s existenceand would have been a close match for her in a fight.
Too bad Gaunter’s power and smarts were wasted on a David Beckham lookalike.
Why didn’t he just go formore interesting souls like Ciri’s?
Heck, even the independently immortal Yennefer was more interesting than the drunkard Olgierd.
In any case, Gaunter O’Dimm would have been a more compelling main villain compared to the Wild Hunt.
