Just don’t pour them all inGeralt’s belly, keep ‘em reserved!
9CELANDINE
Flowers are next in line as some of the most useful alchemy ingredientsinThe Witcher 3.
Thankfully, Geralt can easily find some Celandine in the fields of White Orchard or any vibrant meadow.
8CORTINARIUS
Mushrooms, who’d have thought?
It’s the one that boosts damage by a lot.
Suffice to say, it’s an automatic must inGeralt’s inventoryespecially in boss fights.
Cortinarius is easily found in some dank caves that Geralt usually raids for treasure or sunken gear.
If not, herbalists in White Orchard sell them as well.
Luckily, Drowners loiter around rivers in squads in White Orchard and even Velen.
verify to grab acontract or sidequestalong the way.
Sadly for their lives, witchers need their embryos for the Thunderbolt potion.
The Endrega Embryo is another ingredient needed for it.
These weird bugs are commonly located in Novigrad and Skellige or in some vine-infested caverns.
Some of them also have poison attacks but are easily killed.
It gives a whopping 50 percent damage increase if the HP is full.
As per the name, they only come from Water Hags.
These creepy female monsters fester in swamps, usually in Crookback Bog and in caves with flooded areas.
Fighting them isn’t too difficult, thankfully.
That means Geralt can get free heals if he goes on the defensive without a need for a Swallow.
to obtain the Ekhidna Decoction, Ekhidna Mutagens are required.
They’re very annoying to kill and fight– training with the crossbow helps a lot.
As always, the monster’s mutagen is necessary for the decoction.
Chorts are quite rare in the game and are only available in a handful of quests.
Wandering around trying to run into Chorts is not recommended given how elusive these big creatures are.
1EKIMMARA MUTAGEN
Last but not least, the Ekimmara Mutagen.
It’s required for the Ekimmara Decoction which makes Geralt’s attacks restore Vitality or HP.
Paired with the Water Hag Mutagen, it makes the game a cakewalk even on Death March difficulty.
Finding an Ekimmara, however, is a little hard.
They usually only show up in quests since they’re large and troublesome vampires.
Players might find a bunch of them concentratedin Toussaint, though.
