The people just love it.
It gets em going.
Ive never been able to get into it.
I want to love it.
Fantasy is my jam.
I even know all the memes.

Id read reviews that it was the best entry point into the Souls series at the time.
It took me a while to get what the game was about.
But I couldnt get into it.
I just dont see the appeal of these Soulsborne titles so I admire them from afar.

Maybe I joined the bandwagon too late to properly enjoy Geralts journey.
Maybe spending hours in crafting menus creating potions and organizing inventory just doesnt call to me.
Spelunky
As an archaeologist, I should be in love with Spelunky.
But something about the mechanics never spoke to me.
I want to like Spelunky.
It even has player housing.
Despite this I have never managed more than a few hours in any Elder Scrolls game.
I cant even tell you why.
Theres just something that stops me being able to get past the point of no return.
Bad ass witch, intriguing storyline, and yet it just doesnt appeal to me.
I dont hate it, I just dontgetit.
Stealth action is fine.

Probably started my fourth run through Final Fantasy Tactics or something.
Anyway, I never looked back.

I should love Final Fantasy 8.
But like, it just kinda sucks?
Im confined to one boring area and introduced to way too many characters at once.
I ploughed ahead, but the pacing just didnt get any better.
At the start of the pandemic I decided to buy and completeFinal Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age.
I had the original on PS2 so thought it only fair to finish where I began.
Forced isolation should have given me no excuse to give it up, but I did.
The art is drab, the sound puts me to sleep, and even the in-game font looks boring.
Well, as you’d expect, I got absolutely wrecked and eventually gave up.
This happened a third time, after playing Sekiro as well.
Red Dead Redemption 2
The thing is,Red Dead Redemption 2is a fantastic game.
I believe I never will.
Not me, though.
I bought Brilliant Diamond the moment it came out and I still havent even put it in my Switch.
Heres hoping Arceus clues me in on what the hell everyone else is talking about all the time.
