And its just become my new in-between game.
The ’90s dance craze and the hit 2010s mobile game have more in common than you think.

It can’t be bargained with.
It can’t be reasoned with.
It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear.
And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!
If youve played the sub-series, you know Im not exaggerating this.
Which makes sense considering it started as an arcade game and itsveryfocused on competitive play.
In fact, Tetris The Grand Master 4 - Absolute Eye wassupposedto be an arcade game.
And then it was canceled.
And then it was un-canceled.
And then it didnt have the Tetris license.
Then it got it back.
Which is me, Im saying that its got the juice.
What games in Tetris Forever will you play “forever,” and what are one-shots?
Here are our thoughts.
There are far better YouTube video explainers than Ive got the time or energy to give you here.
But the first time you play it, the whole game is just slightly off from what you expect.
Blocks hit the bottom of the screen very fast and often immediately.
The way you move and flip them also feels slightly different.
The way youre scored or ranked feelsextremelydifferent.
You feel like a god once you begin anticipating everything and getting those T-spins right.
Its Tetris at its most pure, with all the extra details and elements stripped away.
Its nothing but challenge and speed.
Lets be real: Its roleplaying game season and might just be that way forever.
Even beforeOblivion, I had remasters of Saga Frontier 2, Lunar, andSuikodenon the docket.
Best case scenario - conservative estimate - each of these will take dozens of hours to complete.
Its hard for me to enjoy a quick ten minutes inAvowed.

The menus are so simple as to look bareboned.
The only thing that matters here is Tetris that movesvery, very, very fast.
No dozens of pages of options to sift through.
No picking up where I left off.
When a game ends,it endsand you feel grateful for getting as far as you did.
Seriously, right now Im overwhelmed with all the games Im supposed to be playing.
Im sure as hell glad I beatBlue Princelast week before this weeks homework showed up.
And I know that treating video games like vegetables isnt a great path to having fun.
But Idowant to play all these games.
Idowant to have the full experience.
Yet I also need something that can fill the moments that arent designed for quests that take five hours.
Five minutes is enough.
Five minutes to crush my spirit as I desperately attempt to flip a T block into place.
Then its back to warring states and ancient prophecies and purple prose.
I know that Tetris The Grand Master 4 - Absolute Eye is a weird sell.
Even more so that it seems to be a $35 PC-exclusive at the moment.
That might also seem weird, but trust me on this.
I know all Im doing is making this game sound strange, difficult, and mean.
