It’s suited the series well throughout time, and the latest iterations have been bright spots.
A new protagonist might not be enough to make Sniper Elite: Resistance feel fresh.
That’s not a bad thing; they’ve hit a formula that works.
But it does make the lines between the two games blur quite a bit when comparing them.
That mode is a welcome addition, andResistance wins outin this regard due to it.
Both of themwork the samein regard tobullet drop,wind,focus, and all the things in between.
Turn these metal beasts into smoldering wrecks.
The bullet-time isidentically wonderful in bothof them.
That being said, the protagonist ofHarry Hawkeris awonderful time to play as.
Theart directionof both games is quite similar as well, though they do take you todifferent locations.
Largely, the levels in both games seem to be going for something slightly different.
InSniper Elite 5, the levels are a bit moresprawling.
They’re quiteopenin a lot of areas, though this isn’t a consistent rule.
You’ll need toreposition quite a bitin engagements where enemies know where you are.
InSniper Elite: Resistance, the levels arestill large, but they’re abit more even throughout.
On those maps, there are quite a few areas you canget into withasniper rifleandfire with near impunity.
