There are some races that are naturally better than others.
That said, it does depend heavily on the class you want to play.
9Skar
Skar are one of the least versatile races.
Long-Suffering, which increases maximum health, is beneficial for all classes, but other abilities are very situational.
Pack-Hunter can be useful in group play, while Fear of the Nine Gods provides situational resistance.
8Dark Myr
Dark Myr have some really limited bonuses.
They excel at stealth and underwater combat and their Embittered Psyche increases their stealth effectiveness.
7Halfling
Halflings are agile and resourceful.
These universal traits can be a nice boost for any class, but none of them are particularly powerful.
Dagger specialization is where this race really takes off.
Ranger and warriors both have access to stabbing weapons as well, meaning Halflings can be verypowerful DPS characters.
That said, they’re still best for a caster-heavy class.
Living Reservoir reduces all mana-draining effects, which is only useful for those using mana.
Elemental Attunement also only works well for druids, shamans, and wizards who have access to elemental abilities.
Wizards specifically enjoy this trait, as the class has extra elemental benefits.
5Ogre
Ogres are focused heavily on melee, making them a pretty straightforward option.
All of these bonuses make them work best for melee-intensive classes, like dire lords and warriors.
They don’t work very well as a caster, though.
If you want to play a caster, you’ll want to choose another race.
4Dwarf
Dwarves are best known for their resilience.
you’ve got the option to choose just about anything else and be fine.
3Elf
Elves are in two main categories: Ashen and Ember.
Both excel in classes that utilize Agility and Wisdom.
Therefore, the throw in you choose matters.
