Whenever a newFinal Fantasy 14expansion launches, the first thing I do is dive straight into the storyline. I want to meet those new characters, hit those new plot beats, and unlock those new areas. The NPCs all said the same line, too, Welcome to Tural!. There were no main scenario quests, no side quests, nada. So all the interesting story revelations are still under lock and key until launch.
