I dont care how anyone chooses to play games.
If youre having fun, then go for it;thats what video games are for.
Theres nothing wrong with that, but theres also nothing wrong withwanting things to happen outside of your control.
And yet Ill feel bad for reloading a game because that makes me scum to some randomer online.
But then I think back to my first time playing Oblivion, and the innocence that came with it.
As a child, I never understood that saving and reloading were possible.
If I picked up something I shouldnt have, I would pay a fine.
If I angered someone I didnt want to, Id deal with the consequences.
And then, my horse died.
When this happened, I was devastated, and I wished I could rewind time to undo his demise.
But that wasnt me looking for a solution - that was me grieving.
Then I moved on.
What Would I Have Gained From Reloading?
I probably would have undone the situation and continued, with nothing substantial lost or gained.
As I returned to Cyrodiil inOblivion Remastered, I remembered this moment once again.
