We all go through highs and lows with our favourite live-service games.
But lately, my heart just hasnt been in it.
It’s time to stop setting unrealistic expectations and to celebrate my wins instead.
My main choice is mop-up.
My preferences are generally grinding for minions or mounts that I havent unlocked yet.
If that fails, Ill try and throw myself into the thick of something else.
Ive never fully leveled up an alt, but theres something about going back to basics thats quietly calming.
All you have to do is run outside the city and whack some rats, easy.
All your favourite NPCs are still alive.
The world isnt doomed yet.
The bubble bursts and Im back to square one.
What should I do?
What will keep me occupied?
I cant keep checking my retainers every 30 minutes to see if Ive sold anything yet.
There must be more to my digital life than this.
It just doesnt feel fun anymore.
Part of this is a problem of my own making.
Maybe I need some real time with real people… you know, still in the digital world though.
Im not about to go outside and touch grass.
But another part of this is that we need more new content to grind, whichI wrote about previously.
Dawntrail wasnt my Warrior of Lights vacation, but an extended break from playing might be.
