InMonster Hunter World, there are no beasts more ferocious or more feared than the Elder Dragons.
Very little is known about these creatures or where they came from.
All thats known is they are hazardous not just to the player but the very ecosystem they reside in.
The player who manages to slay theseElder Dragonsis truly a master hunter of monsters.
We’ve gone and added some of our favorites to this list from the Iceborne expansion.
If you have a decent group, though, its a piece of cake.
The Elder Dragon is never killed because the game doesnt permit it, not because players couldnt.
Facing it alone would be suicide, however.
8Lunastra
Now we get into the solo-ableMonster Hunter World dragons.
While Lunastra is arguably the easiest Elder Dragon, its by no means an easy fight.
If alone, shes a fairly easy fight.
If shes with her mate Teostra… well, youll see why thats a problem in a later entry.
7Kirin
Kirin is infamous with fans as being a particularly tricky monster to face.
If the player manages to stagger or disrupt Kirins movements, the fight becomes much easier.
But with players whove focused on ranged builds, Kushala Daora isnt too bad to take down.
5XenoJiiva
The last boss of the game so far is surprisingly not thestrongest elder dragonin the game.
That being said, it is in the number four spot and can catch unsuspecting players off-guard.
Its incredibly resistant to status effects, meaning this is a brutal slog with weapons.
On the ground, Xeno-Jiiva deals with damaging projectiles and beams in a variety of fashions.
The result is a twisted creature mutated by Miasma that makes it a terrifying monster to face.
3Alatreon
Alatreon is known as the symbol of destruction, and it is a moniker well-earned.
Learning its moveset is a must, and gearing up is key to clean victories.
