Monster Hunter has always had more than just the default versions of monsters.
AndMonster Hunter Wildsintroduces its own new variant in the Guardian Monsters.
Monster Hunter continues to be well and alive after almost two decades.
With so many titles, it can be confusing to know how to play them in order.
Let’s discuss everything there is to know about them, and how to defeat them.
Guardian Ebony Odogaron - Strengths And Weaknesses
Guardian Monsters have a few unique aspects to them.
The same is true when it comes to status effects.
Aiming for the forelegs and tail will limit much of their moveset though.
Slash Combo
Odogaron slashes in front of themself quickly with a claw, potentially a second time.
Occassionally, they will then stand up and slam with both claws for high damage and knockback.
The slam gives much more time to punish.
Tail Whip
Odogaron takes a quick leap forward to whip the player with their tail before jumping backwards.
This attack pulls off quickly, so dodging forward or blocking it is the most effective strategy.
Tail Swipe
Odogaron does a quick tail swipe behind themself that knocks down anyone in range for small damage.
Be mindful not to stay behind Odogaron for too long to avoid this.
The attack can also be powered through during some heavier attacks.
If you see Odogaron performing the slam attack, get your distance.
Being near them at all during this will catch you in the blast.
They’ll just drop naturally.
