There are alsotwo modes of Abyssal Chaosto complete: Easy Mode and Hard Mode.

These Companions havedifferent skill setsand can be upgraded using Companion Genes.

Companions can only be taken on Deductions if you haveunlocked their regular combat counterparts.

When you start an Abyssal Chaos Deduction, you might choose between the limited-timeTrial Companionor any of yourregular companions.

After choosing a companion to bring with you, your team isautomatically created for youfrom thehighest raritymemories you own.

These memories will bemaxed outfor the Deduction.

What Are Chaos Keys Used For?

Chaos Keys are used topurchase Codes.

Codes are specialcombat skill upgradesthat improve your or your companion’s combat abilities and add special buffs to battle.

Each Code category upgrades adifferent combat ability.

Codescannot be upgraded infinitelyand will eventually reach a Code-level cap.

Hitting certain Code milestones will reward youwith Diamonds.

There are alsothree categoriesof Codes.

The first category is theGeneral Category.General Codes are Codes that can be applied toany combat companion.

The second category,Exclusive Codes,are Codes that are exclusive tocertain companions.

These Codescannotbe applied to any companion by the one they are assigned to.

Each Companion hasfive exclusive Codes.

Finally, the third category isCode Sets.

Code Sets are sets ofthree codesthat, when acquired, give apermanent buffto your team.

Completing sets will also give youDiamonds.

What Do Items Do?

Items functionsimilarly to Codesin the sense that each item provides aspecial combat buffor adds a combat or Case-specific ability.

Love and Deepspace

You will earn areward in the Records screenfor the first time you obtain an Item.

you’ve got the option to also collect special Items that areunique to your chosen companion.

These items, once collected, can unlock special story branches in the Deduction.

Sometimes, you need tocollect specific Itemsduring reward offers.

You won’t know what these items are until you reach the later stages of the Deduction.

For instance, in some Abyssal Chaos Deductions, you need tograb the Projectorto give to the Director.

Giving the Projector to the Director willunlock a special choiceand give you special rewards.

What Are Incidents?

Incidents arerandom encountersthat will appear at certain points during the Deduction.

There isno way to predictwhat Incident you will encounter.

Incidents can either offer youa special reward or hinderyour progress by removing or downgrading your Codes.

Just like with Items and Codes, Incidents also have aspecial Collections menuunder the Records menu.

After encountering a certain number of Incidents, you canclaim a Diamond reward.

You canrevisit and replay Incidentsand Abyssal Chaos story stages from theRecords tabafter you’ve completed them in a Deduction.

This is a great way to recap for subsequent playthroughs.

Genes are special currencies that can be used toupgrade companion abilitiesand stats.

There aretwo difficultylevels in Abyssal Chaos:Easy and Hard.

What Are General Genes?

General Genes can be used in theGeneral Gene tabto upgrade genes forall companions.

These upgrades willroll overfrom Deduction to Deduction no matter what companion you choose.

Youneed General Factorsto unlock General Genes.

you’re free to earn General Factors during every Deduction.

General Factors, unlike Companion Factors, aren’t tied to any one companion.

Unlocking General Genes can be done in a bracket system.

You canchoose which Genes to upgradein a branch, but eventually, you will hit bottlenecks in the bracket.

There are22 General Genesto unlock in total.

What Are Companion Genes?

Companion genes are genes that can be upgradedonly for certain companions.

These genes arenot universally sharedand can only be used during the specified companion’s Deduction runs.

Each companion hasfive Companion Gene Nodesto unlock.

you could unlock Compainon Genes withCompanion Factors.

Remember,Trial companions will earn more Companion Factorsthan regular companions during their specified Abyssal Chaos cycle.

you might only earn Companion Factors for thecompanion you are completing deductions with.

Youcan’t earn another character’s Companion Factorsif you are running the Deduction with a different character.
