Indiana Jones and the Great Circleis my kind of video game.
Im a big fan of the Steven Spielberg and George Lucas-created film series that inspired it.
This wasmade for me.
And yet, I havent touched it.
That moment will likely be when the game comes toPS5sometime this year.
For the first time in years, I’m expecting to be making heavy use of my Xbox.
Theres no discernible strategy here.
I just dont know if Xbox is in its relationship with players for the long haul.
How Different Is This From Sony’s Approach To PC Ports?
Obviously, buying a console is not the same level of investment as purchasing a home.
Aside from multiplayer titles likeHelldivers 2andConcord(RIP), PlayStation doesn’t do simultaneous console and PC releases.
It puts games on PS5, waits a year or two, then ports them over.
If you don’t care, you’re fine to wait.
For the most part, Xbox has followed a similar approach with its multiplatform releases.
But Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has narrowed the window.
Xbox isn’t doing this with everything Avowed is still set to be an exclusive.
That would be a little like opening the Ark of the Covenant, only to have your face melted.
And I don’t want my face melted.
A great game released in December is still doomed to be forgotten.
