Then there are two quick-time events to keep your breath under control while hiding from The Ancient One.

Eric escapes.
Nick fights off The Ancient One alone and continues on.
Eric attempts to help Nick.
He throws The Ancient One into a hole but stumbles into it himself.
Nick (and Rachel, if present) attempt to pull him up in a quick-time event.
Afterwards, The Ancient One will corner Nick and Vampire Rachel will attack Eric.
Eric gets two quick-time events to fight her off.
The first one is safe to fail.
Second Quick-Time Event Succeeded
Second Quick-Time Event Failed
Eric can either choose to keep running or to help Nick.
Vampire Rachel kills Eric.
Eric attempts to help Nick but is killed.
Nick escapes and continues on.
There will be a brief conversation here between whoever has survived.
