The Yargonaut is one of the optional minibosses introduced inHades 2with The War Song update.
In this guide, youll learn Hellifishs abilities, attack pattern, and how to counter them.
you’re free to encounter The Yargonaut on your way to Olympus.
It’s actually quite hard to run into The Yargonaut since his encounter rate is low.
But if you do, this Yargonaut guide will help you stay ahead.
Hades 2 is in Early Access.
The information in this guide may change over time.
Other than The Yargonaut, you may also encounter another miniboss in the Rift of Thessaly:Charybdis.
He hasfour main abilities:Two melee, one long-range,and ablink.
The Yargonaut’s attacks deal massive damageand can terribly cut down your HP.
So,focus on learning his attack patterns and staying alivebefore anything else.
Four red circles will appear on the floor, marking where they’ll land.
Themissiles hit in pairs, so you’ll see two explosions at a time.
Stay out of the red circles to avoid taking damage.
Bouncing Shot
Firesthree pink projectiles that ricochetoff the ship’s walls.
They bounce once, so watch their trajectory and time your dashes carefully.
Cleave Attack
The Yargonautswings his fishbone blade for a melee attack.
Stay out of its range, dodge to the side, or get behind himto avoid getting hit.
Blink
Teleports and reappears in another spot.
Stay alert, control your attacks, and be ready to react to his new location.
Spamming attacks can make it harder to redirect your strikes or respond to his next move in time.
Right after that, he’ll launch three bouncing projectiles twice.
He may blink or shoot more missiles.Don’t attack him now.
Focus on dodging his abilities.
Your priority should beclearing out the Sea-Shamblers first.
If you leave them roaming, the fight will be much harder.
Unlike the jellyfish in the Hellifish fight, these enemies don’t just spin and stay in one place.
They move around and actively attack you.
Plus, with them cluttering the screen, spotting where The Yargonaut blinks will be even trickier.
Use yourCast as frequently as possible.
It can trap the Sea-Shamblers, deal extra damage, and give you more room to maneuver.
Phase Shift is another solid option, as it slows everything down, giving you more time to react.
Once the Sea-Shamblers are gone, it’s time to take on The Yargonaut one-on-one.
But don’t let your guard down just yet.
Once that’s gone, it won’t be long before he falls under your might.
We walk you through the Eris boss fight and show you how to defeat her.
