The Gold Saucer is the main hub for mini-games inFinal Fantasy 14.
These special events are called Gold Saucer Active Time Events, or GATEs for short.
GATE Schedule
GATEs occur every 20 real-world minutes in the Gold Saucer.
Every 20 minutes, arandom GATE is selected from a list of three, depending on the current time.

By using your jumping skills, you’ll need to leap over obstacles to reach the top.
Getting hit by one of these bombs will knock you back.
If you fall off the edge of the course, you’ll have to start back at the beginning.
If you fail to make it to the top in time, you won’t receive anything.
Hitting targets rewards points, whilehitting bombs subtracts points.

At the end of the game, you will berewarded with MGP based on your performance.

In Leap of Faith, your goal is to jump across a variety of obstacles to reach the finish.
While the goal of this game is simple, it’s one of the most challenging to complete.
You’ll need excellent judgment and precision to successfully make it through the Leap of Faith courses.
You’llearn more MGP depending on how many of each of the types of Cactuar statues you collect.
Any Way The Wind Blows
Any Way the Wind Blows is a game of pure luck.
In this game, Typhon will use his Snort to try toblow you off the arena.
Typhon will Snort atotal of five times.
You will be awardedmore MGP the more rounds you correctly guess Typhon’s Snort.
Additionally, you’ll earn more points the fewer remaining players there are at the end of the game.
The game will take place over three rounds, with small mini-games taking place between each round.
However, by watching carefully, you candetermine where the bamboo will fallas soon as Yojimbo cuts it.
Single diagonal cut
Line AoE in the direction of the cut.
Multiple diagonal cuts
Circle AoE centered on the bamboo.
Single vertical cut
Two line AoEs on either side of the bamboo.
By studying the way Yojimbo cuts the bamboo,it is possible to dodge every single one of them.
The cups will then spin and move around.
If you correctly choose the MGP cup, yourtotal earnings will be doubled.
If you choose the cup with Daigoro, you will beknocked off the stage.
If you choose the cup with nothing, nothing will happen.
This mini-game iscompletely luck-based, as the cupsmove too quickly to accurately trackwhere they end up.
