2024 was a big year for FF14.
Unless that last one is just me…
The announcement of FFXIV Mobile has raised so many questions for me.
Lets take a look at the past year of FF14, Wrapped-style!
Top Moments
1.
Dawntrail Launch
The biggest FF14 moment of the year was inevitably the launch of Dawntrail.
While there wasmixed feedback, Dawntrail set the events of the next story arc in motion.
Overall, Dawntrail was a win.
But this dislike quickly gave way to something more… thirsty.
Im not here to judge.
The Arcadion Raid Series
From fans becoming obsessed over one character, to the next.
But it wasnt all about Honey B Lovely.
I cant wait to see more!
The Final Fantasy 16 collab event was cool though.
And we even had the Final Fantasy 15 event reprised.
It was a good year for collabs.
Best Boss Battles
1.
It was a fitting final boss to a chaotic optional dungeon that threw just about everything at players.
Honey B. Lovely
You know shes loved when shes mentioned more than once.
Thats right, the fans didnt just love her because of her design and cute demeanor.
Her fight was gruellingly difficult.
Biggest Dramas
1.
Arent we getting a little bored of playing this same broken record now?
Job Changes
The healers arent the only ones that are mad.
Pretty much everyone is.
At least, other than the Black Mages.
Job roles are constantly getting tweaked and changed, and 2024 was no different.
Players Favourite Moments
1.
One player said that regrouping with old friends after swapping servers felt like coming home.
Shared Pain Over Rare Boss FATEs
Weve all been there.
Its these moments where youre thrown together with like-minded strangers that can give the best memories.
The Pre-Dawntrail Grind
Many of us had to do it.
Lets face it, most of us had the worst inventories to sort through.
Also, be careful when Googling them.
But it goes beyond Mamool Ja thirstiness.
Bakool Ja Jas complete role reversal was a testament to the great character building in Dawntrail.
