With the Amethysts equipped,you should be fine without a barrier.
Only one Sandphin can be summoned per turn, so consistently use Arrow Rain to defeat them.
If they survive, use Leo to defeat them.
The Sandphin heal the boss, and you don’t want to make this battle drag any longer.
Thankfully, there are no more bosses or enemy encounters left to worry about either.
