And the Maxi Toy Box sure is the hardest.
Let’s show you just how to master this dungeon, and not miss a thing.
Beyond that, it’s a relatively straightforward area.
Justmake your way towards the save point, and proceed into the next area.
It is fairly simple, though is a bit more convoluted if you want to gather up every item.
Proceed west from here to reach the red button.
Return to the previous platform.
Go south from here, returning to the first area of the game.
There is aBlue Quartzin the chest, which gives you an immunity to elemental weaknesses.
Defeating Frostian
Entering this next area will pit you against a boss, the Frostian.
Leo’s security truly does seem to be overkill.
This boss isn’t the most obscenely difficult one, butsmall mistakes can be immensely punishing.
Let’s take a quick look at their moves to start.
Move
Effect
Ice
An Ice-elemental attack that hits a single party member.
Ice Spike
Summons a series of spikes that randomly hit the party multiple times for low damage.
Ice Pillars
Summons Ice Pillars to protect the boss.
Destroying them all will cancel the boss' ultimate attack.
Ice Field
This move has no effect, and is just used to signal the boss changing phase.
Eternal Blizzard
The boss attacks every party member for high damage if all the Ice Pillars are not destroyed.
This move is weakened the more Ice Pillars are destroyed.
Frostian has a pretty simple flow, and one that Leo can very easily take advantage of.
As such, confirm topack plenty of Protein Drinks, Potionsand the like before starting this fight.
Frostian, being a solid block of ice, isincredibly weak to fireattacks.
The only move to worry about arethe Ice Pillars.
If left unchecked, these will allow Frostian to perform the powerful move,Eternal Blizzard.
Thankfully, the more you destroy, the less damage the move does.
And if you destroy them all,the move is canceled entirely.
After all that, Frostian will be defeated, and you’ll get aSapphire Las a reward.
Now we just need to find the chest that Cheryl’s necklace is in.
No matter what you do, make surenot to kick off the ominous chestin the back room.
This contains a boss that is next-to-impossible to defeat at the moment.
Except that’s a lie.None of the chests contain the necklace.
Let’s start off by taking a quick look at theirmove set.
Dark
Deals a dark-elemental attack to a single character.
Disaster
Hits every party member, and has a chance of reducing both attack and defence as well.
Group Attack (Up-close)
The boss summons skeletal hands to attack every party member once.
Energy Drain
Saps HP from every party member and restores half of it to the boss.
Summon
The boss summons two Gondolans in front of themself.
This works both ways, withthe party dealing more damagewhen they move close as well.
If Leo is fully buffed, then this free time is great to trySteal the Ruby Mfrom the boss.
You don’t want to waste turns here.
Focus on the Gondolans first, as they can quickly become a nuisance.
