Usually on the eve of the early access release date theres a sort of festive feeling.
The first few weeks of each new iteration are always the most enjoyable anyway.
This year, however, the mood is different.
My other friend pipes in to say, FIFA isnt meant to be fun.

The most glaring issue with EA Sports FC 25 is that this is barely a new game.
The menus are strikingly similar to the previous game.
The graphics are the same.
EA has sold the exact same game almost down to its most minute details.
It does this every year.
Some menus even include cards from EA FC 24, and some teamshave last seasons kits.
That being said, there are some good changes in FC 25.
For one, the new Rush game mode is a brilliant addition.
Its a casual 5v5 mode which brings the sort of levity that Ultimate Team has needed for years.
Im also really enjoying the new tactics system added to Ultimate Team.
This introduces way more complexity to the way you deploy your team on the field.
As always, there are probably meta tactics and player positions, but wheres the fun in that?
Its much better to play with something youve created.
Player Roles are also new.
With the addition of Playstyles last year, Player Roles continue to add to the individuality of each player.
EA Sports FC 25 is the next iteration of the long-running football simulation series, formerly known as FIFA. It introduces an overhaul of positional tactics, named FC IQ, as well as the new 5v5 Rush mode.
Rodri has the ++ Role of Holding Midfielder and Deep-lying Playmaker.
Weve also now got duplicate card storage for SBCs.

However, none of these features are particularly groundbreaking or game-defining.
My ideal is always a seasonal model, one that follows the real-world football season.
Of course, this wont happen, because EA has complete dominance of the football game market.
It charges 100 for its Ultimate Edition because people pay that.
Will I play this game a lot?
Will I enjoy every minute of it?
Its an FC game, through and through.
