Why Are Metal Slimes So Important For Farming?
That’s not because you’re level is too low though.
Instead,Metal Slimes have maxed out defence.
One point of damage is all they’ll ever take.
Metal Slimes drop quite a lot of EXP, especially if you might manage to defeat them early on.
Liquid Metal Slimes, which are much rarer, offer exponentially more EXP.
So if you come across these slimy buddies, always take the chance to try defeat them.
These areas can be identified by the raised sections of land that can only be reached with flight.
Good luck on finding them.
There’s no way to reduce the chance of them running away.
And they really like running away.
Set the battle speed to ultra-fastduring your farming to speed things up a bit.
So how do you counter that?
There are a few methods.
The first and foremost is toincrease your Agility.
TheMeteorite Bracer and Mercury’s Bandanaare great for this.
There are a few moves and weapons to look out for here.
TheHeadsman’s Axeis very helpful as well.
While it has a high chance of missing, it will almost always crit if it does hit.
This weapon can be found inBaramos' Lair.
Beyond this, make liberal use of theAssassin’s Stab and Pressure Pointerabilities from the Thief and Warrior respectively.
The chance of an instant kill is usually worth the risk.
However, ittakes two turns to set up.
Try this if you already have another party member or two that can attack Metal Slimes.
Metal Slimes on average drop around 2,000 EXP, whileLiquid Metal Slimes give about 12,000.
It’s hefty stuff, especially before you get into the depths of the post-game dungeon.
DQ3 Remake is a pretty open-ended game.
This is the best order to tackle it in.
