On the other hand, youd expect Lucanis to be less trustworthy around a mage… being a mage-killer.
Instead, shes a fan girl.
The lack of conflict makes everyone feel shallow and devoid of any real personality.
Even major story decisions that have huge ramifications on companions homes and personal lives are shrugged off.
Nobody holds a grudge!
It makes Rook feel faultless and the bonds between party members meaningless.
Even Wyll has moments of anger at Tav.

And a huge side effect of that desire to be palatable is that its bland.
These moments of tension are why theyve stuck with us all these years later, because theyre not perfect.
