What Is The Codex Umbra?
By clicking on it, you will be able to create one of the following puppets.
Puppet
Description
Shadow Worker
This is a puppet that harvests anything in the area.
Once the work has been done, the worker will give you all the items.
Shadow Duelist
This is a puppet that fights for you.
The overall damage depends on your equipment, but they will generally attack anything that is within range.
Similar to Maxwell, the duelist has 75 HP.
Shadow Sneak
This isn’t a puppet like the previous entries.
Instead, Shadow Sneak is similar to a trap.
When certain mobs are trapped (like rabbits), they will turn into the Shadow version of themselves.
In the case of rabbits, they will become Beardlings.
Mobs around the trap will panic and have decreased movement speed.
Shadow Prison
This is another trap-like summon that imprisons mobs in a column.
So, how do you actually use this in an efficient manner?
This works best in the early-gamewhen enemies aren’t too tough and you don’t have proper gear.
Enemies will target you,even if they are being attacked by a Shadow Duelist.
As such,we suggest running away if you aren’t confident in your own skills.
