Final Fantasy 14is great for connecting us with people across the globe.

I have two main gripes with the friend list as it stands.

First, its tied to character rather than account.

Wicked Thunder holding a cube up in Final Fantasy 14.

Second, you cant add people if theyre offline.

Lets tackle my first complaint.

I have far too many alt characters, mainly so I can attend community events on different servers.

Wind up Gentlemen battling Bahamut in Lord of Verminion in Final Fantasy 14.

This is, unfortunately, just the way it has to be until Cross-Data Center Travel arrives.

Which is your favourite FFXIV raid?

Unless Im on that alt character, I have no idea if theyre online or not.

A blue team in Pod Racers in Monopoly Go on the background of a sand dune.

If I have free time, Im investing it into my main character.

Maybe then Id be encouraged to drop in on an alt more often to catch up.

Now lets move onto my second complaint.

Three Warrior of Lights from Final Fantasy 14.

I’ve tried in-game, the Lodestone website, the app, and no luck.

You might be wondering what the big deal is.

Just arrange to meet online and add each other then, right?

The Warrior of Light in Solution Nine in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail.

It shouldnt be this hard to add a friend.

This is as close as those characters will get for now it seems.

I can understand it possibly being hard to implement in-game.

Live-Service Games

It would make everything so much easier.

yo Square Enix, Im already rubbish at staying in contact with my friends and acquaintances.
