15Melee Attack
While melee attacking is an option, it is highly advised against.
It only has good use outside of its normal state.
Use it for Glory Kills and Blood Punches, which are charged-up melee hits good for escaping corners.

Otherwise, the normal melee attack is completely useless.
While it fires faster than the Super Shotgun, it is significantly weaker.
Despite its place on the list, one will still turn to it often in times of need.
Aside from the Chaingun, it is probably the best automatic weapon in the game.
It works especially well fora few boss battles.
11Heavy Cannon
The Heavy Cannon is the second weapon players acquire after the Combat Shotgun.
This weapon is a solid choice for picking off enemies from afar.
Mods help boost its capabilities.
The former modification becomes devastating after fully upgrading it since the missiles can fire without reloading.
It is powerful, but the Rocket Launcher is a superior power weapon.
Additionally, it shares ammo with the Plasma Gun, so it drains resources from a better firearm.
Anything that helps out against the most annoying enemy in history is worth ranking higher.
Only after completing all of these does one pull up the impressively powerful weapon.
This beefy pickup launches the Slayer into the air and sends out a shockwave around you when you land.
The area of effect blast can make taking out lesser demons even more joyful.
7Chaingun
The chaingun is a solid fully automatic weapon.
As with most of these weapons, the modifiers make the weapon excel or become stagnant.
The modifier that enables the chaingun to become a turret is the primary mod to help deal extra damage.
This weapon is only really useful for those larger targets that require your attention.
When close enough, they can even pull off a shot while still riding the chain.
It needs to reload after every shot, but most small demons die after just one hit.
The only drawback is the scarcity of ammo, but tactical use of the chainsaw remedies this.
