One convenient, if not obvious, use for the spell though is to make your own characters smaller.

6Grease

Grease is a Level 1 spell that never loses value through the entire game.

Grease is an undervalued way to make enemy magic users little more than a nuisance.

Creatures in the area have to make a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.

In the tabletop game Daylight creates bright light, but in Baldur’s Gate 3 it specifically creates sunlight.

Sunlight is particularly useful in one specific circumstance, fighting vampires.

However, there is a way to enjoy the benefit with none of the drawback.
