How To Start Dawntreader?

To start the Dawntreader quest in Avowed,you should probably find Ofryc.

This mysterious godlike was touched by Eothas.

The Envoys sees the Splinter of Eothas.

He possessesa powerful holy relic: a bone from Eothas himself.

Rumor has it that thisSplinter of Eothasrelic can heal the sick, even those afflicted by the Dreamscourge.

Their mission went sideways, and Ofryc was sent back to get help.

The Envoy is looking at Dehengen’s house.

However, the people in the embassy are all too busy, so youre his only hope.

Hell point you towarda route off the Pilgrims Path, north of the city.

Hell give you a name - Secgwin, whos guarding the entrance to said temple.

The Envoy is looking at Ofryc, who’s sitting outside of the Embassy.

And with that, your Dawntreader side quest begins.

verify to stock up on consumables.

Youll be facing plenty of fights on the way and inside the dungeon.

Avowed Eothasian Temple marked with a star.

you’re free to get there fromeither the east or west exit of Southern Paradis.

Deal with the enemies along the way.

you might find Kauias journal nearby.

The Envoy enters the Eothasian Temple, seeing two rooms.

One leads toa half-open gatewith two glowing symbolsone blue, one orange.

The other issome stairs leading deeper into the temple, marked by a dead bear sprawled on the steps.

Start with the room on the left.Pick up the two Electric Lily Seedson either side of the room.

The Envoys is looking at a half-open gate with a blue shield symbol on the left, and a orange shield symbol on the right.

you might also shock it with your Electric spell if you have any.

This will turn it blue and fully initiate the gate.

Pick up any Electric Lily Seed you see, especially if you dont have an Electric spell.

Youll need them to solve similar puzzles throughout the dungeon.

Inside the newly opened room,youll face a Skeleton Fighter and two Skeleton Monks.

Take them down and loot their remains.

Return to the open area andtake the stairs where the dead bear lies.

If you enter the opening near the Xaurip painting, follow the path and take out the Xaurip Guard.

By the third scaffolding, youll reach the same spot as if you had broken through the wooden planks.

Can You Heal Caedmon?

As you approach,youll hear Caedmon calling out, mistaking you for Ofryc.

At the top, youll find Caedmon, and hes dying.

And worse, Gjeda might be affected by the Dreamscourge.

Meeting Sargamis

Keep moving forward, taking down the Xaurip and Xaurip Forager along the way.

The Envoy sees a Skeleton Fighter.

Climb the steps, and youll findInquisitor Lodwyns letter to Captain Gjeda.

Cross the wooden bridge, and before you standsSargamis, a godlike of Eothas.

Speaking with him reveals the secret behind his immortality.

The Envoy is running deeper into the temple, a dead bear sprawls on the steps.

Whileyou can ask about Gjedas team, he wont share anything worth noting.

After that, jump to the other side.

Sargamis is to the left, while to the right,youll find an Electric Lily Seed.

When youre ready, enter the water-filled tunnel to continue your journey.

Next to the broken wall isan opening leading deeper into the temple.Jump into the water and swim forward.

The next room is a library filled with books.

Defeat the Ivory Spinner and its two spiderlings.

Continue along the path until you encounter Xaurips and Water Beetles.

As always,take down the Xaurip Elder first.

Enter the earth dome toloot a skeleton forDurable Greavesand Iron Chunk.

Nearby, youll also find an Electric Lily Seed and the book Purification of the Pilgrim.

To the right, interact with the Consecration Prayer if you want.

On the left are the scaffoldings, on the right is the opening near the Xaurip’s painting.

To enter, you need todestroy the rightmost vase near the altarsince its blocking a hole that leads inside.

Continue breaking pots and vases until it’s possible for you to pass through the room filled with Sarcophagus.

One gets crushed by falling debris.

Return to the trunk, follow it to the end, jump across, and climb the rock.

Jump to the right and climb up.Keep going until you spot a purple hole.

Crouch and squeeze through.

You’ll soon come acrossa stone door with a switch, as well as a room behind the curtains.

Inside, youll findthe entire Free Expeditions Corps deadincluding Gjeda.

He can summon more during battle, but only two at a time.

Take out the Fire Blight Minions as soon as they appearto keep the fight under control.

If they stick around, dodging Sargamiss other attacks will be harder.

The Envoy approaches Caedmon, who’s injured.

Fire Projectiles

Sargamis fires homing projectiles.

Sprint sideways to avoid them.

Sword Dash

Sargamisraises his sword before dashing forwardto strike.

Wait for him to charge, then dodge sidewaysat the last moment to avoid the attack.

AoE Explosion

Sargamis castsa large AoE explosionwith himself at the center

Get out of the blast radius.

Hell attempt to power up the machine, but it wont work.

Sargamis has golden skin.

Sargamis will then attempt to convince you to sacrifice your soul.

If you choose to give Sargamis your soul, your companions will be strongly against this idea.

Once you step into place, the machine will activate,draining your soul and killing you.

The game will reload, andyoull earn the achievement ‘Get in the Statue, Envoy.’

He wont back down easily, though.

To fully convince him,youll need 4/4 Intellect to break down the flawsin his outdated thinking.

Before the Envoy is a watter-filled tunnel with glowing mushrooms.

At first, Sargamis will accuse you of lying, but dont worry.

At this point, any choice of dialogue will make him question his beliefs.

This time, Sargamis will have made up his mind and will follow the path you suggested.

Should You Give The Statue To The Voice?

Yes, you should give the statue to The Voice.

A cobweb is blocking the Envoy’s way.

Jump again to another scaffolding that goes around the statue and run to the end.

Jump once more to the next platform.

The room has a skeleton, an Electric Lily Seed, and a glowing book.

Climb up, and youll find another receiver behind some breakable wooden planks.

Destroy them and shock it to overload the receiver.

Its also hidden behind wooden planks.

The Envoy is running up the ramp to reach the broken stairs.

Break them to shock the receiver.

Dawntreader Ending

To end the Dawntreader quest,return to Ofryc.

Youll see that Caedmon has joined him.

The Splinter Of Eothas glows orange.

Theyre happy to see you and appreciate your help.

Ofryc asks aboutGjeda and the rest of the team.

You canstay silent,lie, ortell the truthabout their deaths.
