Survival games can be quite difficult for beginners.
In survival games, especially, the world around you is as much a character as anything else.
The Zone, however, knows exactly what it is.
It’s constantly deadly, enigmatic, and often downright unnerving.
Both games have clunky AI at times.
It’s easy with games as large and filled with as many moving parts as these two.
These are the best Easter eggs and references in Atomfall.
Atomfall’s AI does a little bit better, though.
Stalker 2’s AI is just a bit more rough around the edges.
They get stuck, they disappear, they walk into radiation zones and die one after another.
It’s little things that add up to take you out of the experience.
Stalker 2’s gameplay stands out compared to Atomfall, though.
But it does it without making you feel like it is an impossible journey.
Atomfalls just has a bit more clunk to it.
Stalker 2’s storyline takes the cake on this one, too.
Longer isn’t always better, which is shown with Stalker 2 vs Atomfall.
Atomfall’s journey is a bit more condensed, and the map is a bit smaller.
But not small enough to still be a well-thought-out journey.
It’s these moments, showing the sublime and the mundane, that make the game really stand out.
Both are well worth your time, money, and energy.
Stalker 2 just has a bit more to offer in a well-rounded package.
