According to aNintendocustomer service representative, theNintendo Switch 2Edition ofThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwon’t include the season pass, which will have to be purchased separately.
While all of us Nintendo fans have spent the last yeardreaming of the day when we’d finally know everything about the Nintendo Switch 2, it’s fair to say that the end result has been a little mixed.
While the console itself looks incredible and like a big step-up from the original Switch, everything else surrounding the system has generated more annoyance than excitement.
Breath of the Wilds Switch 2 port doesnt change too much, but a fresh coat of paint on an all-timer has me excited to sink another 100 hours.
The surprisingly high cost of games, lack of communication regarding the physical releases of Switch 2 editions, and more have all made the Switch 2’s announcement a rollercoaster of emotions and reactions.
That rollercoaster continues, as it looks like one of the most popular Switch 2 Editions won’t come with some key bits of DLC.
Don’t Expect The Season Pass For Free In Breath Of The Wild’s Switch 2 Edition
As If It Wasn’t Expensive Enough Already
That Switch 2 Edition is for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,a game that many have wanted to see get an improved port for as long as the game has been out.
We’re finally getting that on the Switch 2, but it seems the monkey paw is curling a bit as the definitive version of the game seemingly won’t include all of its content.
As reported by GoNintendo, a My Nintendo Store customer service representative was recently asked whether the Switch 2 Edition of Breath of the Wild will feature the original game’s $20 Expansion Pass, which includedThe Master Trials and The Champions' Ballad DLC packs and notably let you drive the Master Cycle.
As we learned last week, it’s worth remembering that Nintendo Store customer service representatives aren’t always right, so it’s worth taking with a pinch of salt for now.
In response, the customer service rep said that it’s not included with the Switch 2 version, suggesting that players will have to purchase it separately unless they already own it.
Considering howexpensive the Switch 2 Edition of Breath of the Wild is at a whopping $80, it does come as a surprise that all of its content isn’t included outright.
