Dragons Dogma 2 is fast becoming one of the best games Ive played this year.
However,Capcomsrefusal to overexplain and tutorialise everything in the game leads to many people missing the point.
As it happened, I stormed out of my own coronation without so much as a single prompt.
But 85 percent of players either havent got this far in the game, or decided against exploring further.
From new quests to messed-up bosses, the Unmoored World changes your perspective on Dragons Dogma 2.
You realise that the Red Dragon wasnt the real antagonist and there are far greater forces at play.
Its rare to see a game change its world so drastically, so dramatically, so suddenly.
Its a lot to take in, and its something that the vast majority of players have missed.
Ive never been one for true endings or replaying the game so you get a better outcome.
Ive always been satisfied with the first ending I see.
But Dragons Dogma 2 has changed my mind.
No, Ive never played Nier: Automata.
Like Dragons Dogma 2, the Unmoored World is not perfect.
I love the visual changes and the narrative repercussions.
What I dont love is its length.
Half the game in reality, half in the broken mess of a post-cycle world.
I also think that its too generous with its item drops.
Dragons Dogma 2 has only been out a month, but the main story is relatively short.
When have dragons ever led you astray before?
