The following examples are Scottish characters done right.
This is because he was a famous inventor from the 1800s who patented the first telephone.
He serves as an ally for the protagonists, creating gear for them.
Not only is he a useful teammate, but he’s also a good guy.
She is a scientist who’s aboard your ship throughout the entire game.
The woman is enthusiastic about her work and the wonders of the universe.
There’s plenty of character development in the Mass Effect series.
Rarely do you see a fictional scientist who believes in God.
This leads to some fascinating conversations with her as she gives her unique perspective on science and faith.
The romance with her is wholesome, too.
Because it’s GTA, all of the members are over-the-top characters.
Jezz stands out the most among the group due in part to his very thick Scottish accent.
If only he had more screen time.
Yet, he doesn’t need much time.
These things alone show that Demoman is a very exciting and funny character.
4Korsica
Hi-Fi Rush
Korsica from Hi-Fi Rush isn’t technically Scottish.
More importantly, she’s a very entertaining character.
At the start of the game, she works for the evil corporation that you’re trying to stop.
She serves as their young head of security, but she’s more ambitious than evil.
She’s also a bit of a hothead who gets frustrated and angry very quickly.
In fact, the only clue that he’s Scottish is his last name.
Remember, no bad lines.
Yet, you don’t need to see what he looks like to be compelled by the man.
In fact, he spends much of the game helping people as the oil rig around him falls apart.
Unfortunately for him, these two things come together when Antea is killed near the start of the game.
This is a very difficult moral dilemma that he must solve.
Along the way, Red is an engaging character to follow.
These characters deserved more.
