Steam Next Fest is like a pick n mix of assorted indie games.

Maybe you gravitate towards the familiar visual novel gummies, or perhaps some platformer fudge.

But today, why not throw in a few delectable boomer shooter sherbert lemons?

characters making drugs in schedule 1.

Repose

First person shooters used to be incredibly restrictive.

Repose makes movement in the originalDoomlook likeTitanfall 2by comparison, and I love it.

Its a classic blocky dungeon crawler with guns in a classic web game art style.

Hank from Bear and Breakfast, a suited powerwasher from Powerwash Simulator, Sebatian from Stardew Valley, Hello Kitty in Hello Kitty Island Adventures, and a fairy from Fae Farm.

Its likeSuperhotspliced with Mad Max.

All with a low-poly style that sees your opponents explode like crashing ceramic plates when killed.

Honourable Mention: Twisted Tower

This isnt just a stretch, it simply isnt a boomer shooter.

Lune’s attributes screen in clair obscur: expedition 33.

Stop for even a second and you risk death.

Into The Void captures that spirit perfectly.

Its the most absurd game on this entire list.

Chambers key art depicting a cowboy holding a revolver.

Which, of course, you kick wide open.

The main menu is even the barrel of a revolver.

Like I said, abusrd.
