ThoughCyberpunkwas far from a functioning product at release, it’s at least perfectly playable now on current-gen consoles.

760 FPS And Raytracing

With the current generation of consoles, 60 fps has become the norm.

Then there’s also the raytracing.

For example, The Witcher 3 uses it more for how shadows are cast dynamically.

That’s fair enough, though many games now offer a bit more flexibility.

Thankfully, CD Projekt has gone a few steps further here, adding a whole new camera style.

Roach and Geralt in Ray Tracing sunset

In the original, Geralt was always centered, and the camera kept a good distance away from him.

This was nice and scenic, though it could sometimes feel irksome because of how distant it was.

It’s a more personal look and can slightly move about more dynamically to fit the scene.

The Witcher 3 -Geralt Preparing for combat

It’s not superior, but great as an option.

It was far from realistic, but it made every vista in the game artwork.

They’re a form of simple magic Witchers can perform with hand signs with various effects.

They all function slightly differently per game, but it’s always the same five.

In retrospect, casting Signs in The Witcher 3 was a bit cumbersome.

It’s a massive time saver and makes everything feel that much smoother.

3Fixed Geralt’s Brittle Legs

In lore, Witchers aren’t strictly human.

The smallest of drops an actual human would walk off would put him halfway in the grave.

At least CD Projekt took their time with this one.

That said, the new additions are great.

All Nilfgaardian armor can be replaced with that of the show’s version.

That’s not a dig, games are expensive, and great DLC can only make a game better.

It’s just that after that DLC, games can often be quickly dropped.

For example, you probably rememberSkyrimmods much better than the actual DLC.

The Witcher 3 is no exception to that and has quite thethriving modding communitythat did some truly impressive work.

Geralt The Witcher 3 thumbs up

For the next-gen upgrade, CD Projekt actually contacted mod creators to use their mods officially in the upgrade.

Even better (though it should be the standard), they were paid and credited for their work.
