A sequel to the third-person MOBA Smitehas been announced, speculation is running wild among the community.
“Look good, play good” is an old video game adage for a reason.
From Ra’merica to the Feaster Bunny, here are the best Smite skins ranked by coolness.
Fujin is usually depicted alongside Raijin, god of lightning, who is already in Smite.
His name translates to Hidden One, and he was often depicted as blue to symbolize invisibility.
Since that time they’ve included Lancelot, Merlin, and Morgan Le Fay.
Battle Between King Arthur and Sir Mordredby William Hatherell
One of the Arthurian figures still missing though is Mordred, known for his betrayal of King Arthur.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical gives a new look to much of the Greek Pantheon.
Often confused with the Black Knight, Mordred is sometimes depicted as King Arthur’s nephew or illegitimate son.
A new Great Old One is long overdue, with Yog-Sothoth being the obvious candidate.
Popular among fans, Yog-Sothoth would have community support.
However, it is meant to be as big compared to Cthulhu as Cthulhu is to humanity.
Considering Cthulhu is already mammoth in size in Smite, that could prove tricky.
5Perun
Slavic Thunder
In Slavic mythology, Perun was the highest of all the gods.
God of the sky and thunder, he is sometimes confirmed to his Greek counterpart, Zeus.
He would make an excellent Guardian or Warrior, two roles the Slavic pantheon is missing.
Papa Legba is the facilitator of communication between the living and the dead, able to speak any language.
There are more games with this mythology than The Witcher, you know.
Battle Between King Arthur and Sir Mordredby William Hatherell
Smite does include a Celtic Pantheon, but it needs to grow.
While there are possible additions like The Dagda, one figure of Irish mythology needs a redemption arc.
Perhaps Smite 2 could help fix that.
And yet, they haven’t.
These games have it all, from longboats to vikings to the great halls of Valhalla.
